General Information

Ciprofloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinone antibiotic that is generally effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Ciprofloxacin is a 1-cyclopropyl-6-floro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7-(1-piperazinyl)-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid with molecular formula: C₁₇H₁₈FN₃O₃.
