Marie Little Fawn Shoebone Agan

I am a mother of five children, an F-16 crew Chief for the Vermont Air National Guard,a Technical analyst at BioTek Instruments, and presently a Continuing Education Student in the Biochemistry Department at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont U.S.A., working slowly towards a Ph.D. I recieved my undergraduate degree in Biology from St. Michael's College in Winooski, Vermont U.S.A. with a minor in Chemistry. I love science and have always had an affinity to it since I was a child. I love to instill this love in the community as well, so I volunteer a lot in the community for the honor societies of which I belong and other societies like the American Chemical Society.

I particularly enjoy working with seleno-proteins and find that cancer research in this area completely fascinates me. I do not plan on rushing through my program, and hope that i can somehow make even a small difference in this world....big fan of the "Induced fit theory of Enzymes" and of Hydrogen bonds. Sometimes small changes can have a huge effect and sometimes one bond isn't strong but a million of those same bonds is unbreakable.
