Template:STRUCTURE 4apz

Structure of B. subtilis genomic dUTPase YncF in complex with dU, PPi and Mg in P1

Function

[YNCF_BACSU] This enzyme is involved in nucleotide metabolism: it produces dUMP, the immediate precursor of thymidine nucleotides and it decreases the intracellular concentration of dUTP so that uracil cannot be incorporated into DNA (By similarity).

About this Structure

4apz is a 48 chain structure with sequence from Bacillus subtilis. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA.
