Crystal structure of human N-acetylserotonin methyltransferase (ASMT) in complex with SAM
Template:ABSTRACT PUBMED 22775292
Function
[ASMT_HUMAN] Isoform 1 catalyzes the transfer of a methyl group onto N-acetylserotonin, producing melatonin (N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine). Isoform 2 and isoform 3 lack enzyme activity.[1]
About this Structure
4a6d is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Homo sapiens. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA.
