Crystal structure of the staphylococcus aureus enoyl-acyl carrier protein reductase (fabI) in complex with NADP and triclosan

Function

[FABI_STAAR] Catalyzes the reduction of a carbon-carbon double bond in an enoyl moiety that is covalently linked to an acyl carrier protein (ACP). Involved in the elongation cycle of fatty acid which are used in the lipid metabolism (By similarity).

About this Structure

3gr6 is a 4 chain structure with sequence from "micrococcus_aureus"_(rosenbach_1884)_zopf_1885 "micrococcus aureus" (rosenbach 1884) zopf 1885. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA.
