Ribosomal protein S13
From Proteopedia
Ribosomal protein S13 (RPS13) is one of the 22 proteins which belong to the small subunit of the bacterial ribosome. It is involved in binding to fMet-tRNA and hence to the translation initiation step. The images at the left and at the right correspond to one representative RPS13, i.e. the crystal structure of Ribosomal protein S13 from Thermus thermophilus (2zm6, chain M).
