Cathepsin Proteins

Cathepsins are proteases located in the lysosome, endosome, or extracellular space. They catalyze the hydrolysis of numerous peptide stubstrates utilizing serine, cystine, and aspartic protease mechanism.

Cysteine Protease Cathepsins

Are members of the C1 family of papain-like proteases

Cathepsin B

Cathepsin C

Cathepsin F
