Glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase

Function

Glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase (GCD) converts glutaryl-CoA to crotonyl-CoA. GCD is part of the metabolism of lysine and tryptophan.

Disease

Defective GCD causes the often fatal glutaric acidemia.
