Function

Nucleoplasmin (Npl) is a molecular chaperone. Npl functions in the proper assembly of nucleosomes and chromatin structures^[1].

Relevance

Apoptotic chromatin condensation, one of the hallmarks of apoptosis, is regulated by Npl.
