Function

Ribosomal protein S28 (RPS28 in eukaryotes/archaea) is one of the ca. 33 proteins which belong to the small 40S subunit of the eukaryotic ribosome. It is found also in the small 30S subunit of archaea[1].

Relevance

Mutations in yeast RPS28 affect the accuracy of translation[2].
