Sm-like protein

Sm-like proteins are ring-shaped oligomers of 6-7 members which show nucleic acid-binding activity^[1]. In eukaryotes 7 sm-like proteins (LSm2p-LSm8p) are associated with U6 snRNA^[2]. For details on Sm1 of Archaeoglobus fulgidus see AF-Sm1. For details on the human protein see Lsm.
