MLTB_ECOLI Murein-degrading enzyme. Catalyzes the cleavage of the glycosidic bonds between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetylglucosamine residues in peptidoglycan. May play a role in recycling of muropeptides during cell elongation and/or cell division.
