Two scenes created on SAT, simply loading the same file Fig1a_6b1l.png and saving.

Set advanced Jmol on Misc preferences and render both scenes. Compare to rendering with the default version of Jmol (14.31.8)

Difference appears when rendering on Jmol 14.31.8 (default) or Jmol 16.3.1 (advanced): scene created on 14.31.8 resizes applet when displayed on Jmol 16.3.1
