Function
HPS_STRCL Terpene synthase that catalyzes the conversion of geranylgeranyl diphosphate (GGPP) into a mixture of diterpenes, including hydropyrene (HP), hydropyrenol (HPol), isoelisabethatriene and traces of isoelisabethatriene B (PubMed:25605043, PubMed:28696553, PubMed:35965858). Hydropyrene is the main product (PubMed:25605043, PubMed:28696553). Some other diterpenoids are also produced in very low quantities (PubMed:25605043).[1] [2] [3]
