Human HSF2 DNA-Binding Domain bound to 2-site HSE DNA at 1.73 Angstroms Resolution

Structural highlights

5d8k is a 2 chain structure with sequence from Homo sapiens and Synthetic construct. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 1.728Å
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

HSF2_HUMAN DNA-binding protein that specifically binds heat shock promoter elements (HSE) and activates transcription. In higher eukaryotes, HSF is unable to bind to the HSE unless the cells are heat shocked.
