Function
ENLYS_BPM10 Cysteine protease that cleaves the cell wall of its host methanogen under hydrogen limitation of the latter (autolysis) (PubMed:11544247, PubMed:11934493). Cleaves the epsilon-Ala-Lys isopeptide bond in the oligopeptides of pseudomurein (PubMed:11934493).[1] [2]
