O.G. received his Ph.D. in the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford. He has investigated transcription mechanisms in yeast as a scientist at the Weizmann Institute in Israel, and joined the Structural Genomics Consortium at the University of Oxford in 2004.
