I was born in 1983 in Brazil and graduated in Pharmacy at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Currently I am a graduate student in the Chemistry and Chemical Biology Program at the University of California San Francisco, USA. My thesis advisors are Brian Shoichet and James McKerrow and my PhD project is based in the structure-based discovery of cruzain inhibitors.
