Mnemonics

You can remember that the atoms top and bottom of a chiral center go backwards and left and right go forwards by imagining the Fisher projection is hugging you. If you speak German, you can remember the stereochemistry of glucose by the sound the fire truck makes: "TaTüTaTa".
