I am a professor of biochemistry and bioinformatics at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, USA. I am interested in structural biology and particularly in molecular visualization. My students have developed some plug-ins for PyMOL that you can find at http://ez-viz.rit.edu/. Currently our research group is collaborating with Herbert Bernstein and his students at Dowling College in Long Island, NY, USA, on a project called SBEVSL (Structural Biology Extensible Visualization Scripting Language), where we are developing tools to convert scripts from one program (such as Rasmol) to another program (such as PyMOL). In this way, a user who knows one scripting language can create his images in another program. You can find out more if you just Google SBEVSL.
