Abscisic acid receptor PYR1 complex with abscisic acid (PDB code 3k3k) Show:Asymmetric Unit Biological Assembly Drag the structure with the mouse to rotate   Export Animated Image Function Abscisic acid receptor (PYL) is a 13-member family of receptors identified in Arabidopsis thaliana which bind abscisic acid (ABA) which is indispensable for processes such as root growth, stomatal aperture, seed maturation, dormancy and response to abiotic stresses including drought, cold and salinity[1]. PYL3 is involved in cold and drought stress in rice[2]. PYL9 is involved in leaf senescence[3]. PYL10 inhibits the activity of protein phosphatase 2C[4].
