Ferripyoverdine receptor
From Proteopedia
FunctionFerripyoverdine receptor (Fpv) is an outer-membrane receptor of Pseudomonas aeruginosa which uptakes the pyoverdine-Fe+3 siderophore secreted by the bacteria under conditions of iron limitation to scavange Fe+3[1]. Structural highlightsThe pyoverdine siderophore is comprised of a dihydroxyquinoline chromophore bound to a cyclic octapeptide containing L and D residues[2]. Topology.
