We apologize for Proteopedia being slow to respond. For the past two years, a new implementation of Proteopedia has been being built. Soon, it will replace this 18-year old system. All existing content will be moved to the new system at a date that will be announced here.
Openbabel

Openbabel is a framework for reading, manipulating, and writing molecules that understands many possible file formats and is able to convert between them. The framework is written in C++ but can be used also in the Python language (the name of the wrapper is pybel).
Usage of openbabel is free. Publication of code linked to openbabel is restricted to the GNU public license GPL.
