Openbabel

Openbabel is a framework for reading, manipulating, and writing molecules that understands many possible file formats and is able to convert between them. The framework is written in C++ but can be used also in the Python language (the name of the wrapper is pybel).

Usage of openbabel is free. Publication of code linked to openbabel is restricted to the GNU public license GPL.
