  • I am a post doctoral researcher in the structural biology section at the University of Auckland, in Auckland, New Zealand.
  • I obtained my PhD in biochemistry from the University of Canterbury, in Christchurch, New Zealand under the supervision of Professor Juliet Gerrard. This research focused on an enzyme, dihydrodipicolinate synthase (DHDPS), of the biosynthetic pathway of amino acid lysine, from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the causative agent of tuberculosis. The abstract of my PhD thesis "Disrupting the quaternary structure of DHDPS as a new approach to antibiotic design." can be found at http://ir.canterbury.ac.nz/handle/10092/4469.
  • I obtained my Bachelor of Science with Honours, Majoring in Chemistry at Acadia University, in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada.
  • My current research focus is various enzymes from the biosynthetic pathway of the amino acid tryptophan in M. tuberculosis. This work is part of a broader investigation lead by Professor Ted Baker and Dr Shaun Lott, as part of the Tuberculosis Structural Genomics Consortium (TBSGC).
