I am a membrane protein crystallographer from Michael Wiener's Laboratory at the University of Virginia. I am a Research Scientist at UVA School of Medicine, Department of Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics. I received my Ph.D. from The University of Georgia, from Bi-Cheng Wang's Laboratory. My contributions to science include PSI-1 structural genomics targets' structures in graduate school and membrane protein structures of BtuB, the outer membrane corrinoid transporter from E. coli, during my postdoc. These structures in my postdoc aid the understanding of the effect of the crystal lattice has on the protein's conformational equilibrium as well as the mechanism of the transporter. I am originally from Hungary and I am bilingual.
