Ribosomal protein S2 (RPS2) is one of the 22 proteins which belong to the of the bacterial ribosome. Its N-terminal is rich in Arg-Gly repeats and has two RGGF copies which are believed to be associated with nuclear localization and binding to RNA. In archaea the protein is called S2P (RPS2P).
