From Proteopedia
After a 4 year period spent as an Officier in the Italian Navy, I obtained my degree in nuclear physics at University of Pavia (I) discussing the thesis "Classifications of muons in a hadronic calorimeter through neural networks" (experiment E687, Fermilab). I began my career as a protein crystallographer at the National Institute for Cancer Research (IST) in 1995. In 1999 I obtained a permanent position as researcher. I solved several protein structures, and I am co-author of more than 35 scientific publications on peer-reviewed journals. My present interests are focused on the structure determination of tyrosine kinases and other relevant oncological targets and in the study of new drug delivery systems.
