Introduction

The vitamin K dependent zymogen Protein C is an integral component of the blood coagulation system. Activated Protein C functions as a down-regulator of procoagulant stimuli through the degradation of zymogens and their active counterparts: FV/FVa and FVIII/FVIIIa.
